Minister urges sporting bodies to become independent

Loau says he believes it’s time for sporting bodies to move on.

“However, we can’t do that without the advisory of the panel of presidents of each sporting association,” he said.

A special policy conference was launched today for all heads of sporting bodies to discuss this very issue.

“It should have been something for us to do however, we still felt the government had a very big contribution to our sports. This time around we strongly believe they should be privatized,” he added.
