Sheraton Aggie Grey's Hotel and Bungalows

Samoa's historic Aggie Grey's Hotel to reopen in July

Work has been going on to restore the waterfront hotel after it was badly flooded during the cyclone last month.

This has been confirmed by Sheraton’s General Manager, Mark Francis, to the Savali newspaper.

Most of the Sheraton-run resort in the capital Apia was flooded and furniture and equipment damaged in the storm.

The Hotel is located adjacent to the Vaisigano River which burst its banks during the cyclone.

The entire hotel remains closed to the public while a detailed damage assessment is being carried out.
