Tony Bellew

Bellew vows to end Fury's career as Haye rematch set for May

Former cruiserweight world champion Bellew and ex-heavyweight title holder Haye had been due to renew their rivalry on December 17, only for the fight to be postponed after the latter tore his bicep in an accident on a stairwell.

Bellew claimed a stunning victory in their first meeting on March 4, defying the odds as Haye was rendered immobile by an ankle injury, leading his corner to throw in the towel in the 11th round.

Parker's 40% cut 'dreaming'

That's the view of fellow Brit Tony Bellew who has delivered a personal column where he dishes out his harsh realities for New Zealand's WBO heavyweight champion.

The handlers of Parker and Joshua are locked in negotiations for a unification fight.

Bellew has penned his column ahead of his juicy rematch with David Haye in London next month.

Bellew noted the injury rumours around Haye and said he would be happy to switch his attention to Parker if the Haye fight fell over.

Parker my preferred fight- Tony Bellew

Parker defends his title for the second time when he makes his long-awaited UK debut against Fury in Manchester on September 23.

Bellew, a world cruiserweight champion who stunned fellow British heavyweight David Haye last March, is back in training and eyeing his options.

He has ruled out a rematch with Haye. He likes the money involved in a fight with unbeaten world light-heavyweight champion Andre Ward but says Parker's belt tops his list.

Joseph Parker vows to shock Tony Bellew after being described as a weaker world champion

Joseph Parker is confident he would give Tony Bellew a painful surprise after being described as one of the weaker heavyweight world champions.

The Merseysider is considering his options after the dramatic victory over David Haye earlier this month and WBO champion Parker has been named as one of his preferred opponents.

Referring to the New Zealander, Bellew had suggested he is the "lesser of the other champions", and these remarks have fired up Parker ahead of his WBO title defence against Hughie Fury on May 6

Tony Bellew labels Joseph Parker 'the lesser of the champions'

Bellew scored a knockout upset over fellow English fighter David Haye last weekend to put his name in the mix of title contenders.

Britain's Sky Sports asked him to analyse the top tier of the division and he came up with some interesting comments as he ponders whether to go for a title shot or hang up his gloves.

New UK heavyweight star Tony Bellew keen to take on Joseph Parker for WBO title

Bellew's chirpy promoter Eddie Hearn quickly suggested a fight against WBO champion Parker or WBC champion Deontay Wilder were the juicy options for his fighter after the surprise 11th round knockout of former world champion David Haye on Sunday.

Parker has a defence against Britain's Hughie Fury to negotiate first, with that fight set for New Zealand on May 6, but the Kiwi's promoter, David Higgins of Duco Events, admitted Bellew now had genuine appeal further down the line.

"Bellew is quite a big deal in the UK now," Higgins told Fairfax on Monday.
