Hughie Fury claims his boxing style has changed so much Joseph Parker is wasting his time reviewing his past performances.
Fury hasn't fought for a year as he took time out to recover from a rare acne condition that was affecting his power and durability.
He has spoken first-hand of his struggles and rejuvenation in a column for the Mirror newspaper, saying his condition had got so bad he was "conning my way through fights with my skill and my knowledge and at one point I thought about about giving up".
He was depressed as he made no progress in the gym, instead "going backwards".
But he said he had been transformed by successful medication and felt he could use it to his advantage for his upcoming world title shot against Parker.
"Now I'm 100 per cent and I feel like a new person," Fury wrote.
"This is a different Hughie Fury and you will see that when I face Joseph Parker in New Zealand on May 6.
"No-one has seen me fight like this, they can only watch my other fights but they won't have seen this style. Even Parker would be wasting his time watching footage of my previous fights," Fury wrote.
The usually lean Fury has reportedly put on significant muscle during his buildup.
The 22-year-old also used his column to heap plenty of praise on Parker
"I do think he is one of the best out there at the minute. He's a good, young, confident fighter and I believe he could beat the rest of the division. He's good with his combinations, he's got fast hands, and he's got good agility.
"But I believe everything happens for a reason. The opportunity has come and now is the right time for me.
"Good things come to good people and I always believe that when you put the hard work in it pays off."
Fury and Parker will face off at Auckland's Vector Arena on Saturday May 6.
