A Nevada court judgment, dated March 25, 2021 has just been published, presenting another barrier in his ongoing doping lawsuit.

Hunt filed the suit against the UFC, after losing his 2016 fight with Brock Lesnar at UFC 200. The fight was later ruled a no-contest, after Lesnar received exemptions from standard USADA testing protocol to compete at the event and was found to have tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs before the bout.

Ranked 10th, five places above Willis, Hunt was unable to land any of his famed fight-changing punches against an opponent who stayed out of range and picked off the 44-year-old veteran with a snappy right jab.

Hunt took some kicks to the leg and his footwork looked slow on Sunday as all three judges scored 29-28 to the American.

"My apologies about the performance," said Hunt, the New Zealand-born, Sydney- based Super Samoan, who walked to the octagon following a haka.

Parker's former promoter Dean Lonergan told RadioLIVE last week that fighting Hunt would be the perfect comeback fight for the former WBO heavyweight champion - who has lost his previous two bouts.

Hunt - who has one fight remaining on his UFC contract - has lost three of his last four fights inside the Octagon, but more importantly has never fought a professional boxing fight in a 19-year combat sports career.

Lewis made the announcement following reports in multiple American MMA media outlets that the heavyweight showdown was being targeted as the headline act for the UFC's return to Vector Arena.

However, the UFC is yet to confirm the bout.

"My next opponent is Mark Hunt in New Zealand June 10th," Lewis tweeted.

Hunt (12-11-1-1) is coming off a third-round TKO loss to Alistair Overeem earlier this month and has to wait until April 19 for a medical clearance after suffering a leg injury.

Frustrated and angry with the organisation in the wake of the Brock Lesnar saga last month, Hunt has been campaigning since then for mixed martial artists to band together and give themselves an official voice.

That became a reality when a statement was released on Thursday (Friday NZ time) revealing the formation of the Professional Fighters Association.

Headed by veteran baseball agent Jeff Borris, the group said their aim was to "represent the collective interests of the fighters employed by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC)."

Lesnar, 38, is returning to the cage after a successful spell wrestling with WWE.

The American hasn't fought MMA since late 2011, when he ended a four-year UFC run that included a two-year reign as heavyweight champion.

Lesnar announced Hunt as his opponent during an interview with American broadcasting giant ESPN on Tuesday (NZ time).

The 'Super Samoan' was the eighth-rated heavyweight fighter when the world's premier mixed martial arts organisation released their latest rankings on Tuesday (NZ time).

Hunt, 41, traded places with American Josh Barnett in the only change within the top 10 of the division in the media-generated rankings.

The 41-year-old Kiwi of Samoan descent added another highlight reel to his distinguished fighting career as he stopped Mir, a two-time former heavyweight champion, with a brutal right hand just three minutes into the first round.

Hunt's career seemed in jeopardy last May following a fifth-round stoppage to Stipe Miocic - his second-straight defeat. 

ABC repots the event is also offering local fighters a chance to show their skills on the world stage.

At the faceoff, Hunt and Mir accidently dressed the same, and despite a few laughs both men had their game face on.
