Unlawful weapons seized in raid by Samoa Police

Police were able to seize from the home of the suspect a number of unlawful weapons and ammunitions and it included, seven (7) pistols, nine (9) rifles, .22 ammunitions and other unlawful ammunitions. Other items seized are believe to be used for the consumption and distribution of narcotics such as glass tubes and weight scales.

The suspect is known to police and was previously arrested for similar offence. He is still under police custody and has been charged. He is remanded in custody until 24 August 2020 for court mention.

Two men arrested for procession of marijuana

The 42 year old and 27 year old were arrested after the police conducted a raid in their area following the concerning number of complaints of marijuana activities in the Tafaigata area.

Police seized 162 plastic bags of marijuana dried leaves, branches and marijuana seeds.

     

Samoa Police raid nets stolen pharmaceutical goods

Stolen pharmaceutical goods were confiscated from the house after Samoa Police executed a search warrant Wednesday.

The goods included commercial size quantities of control pills. These pharmaceutical items are suspected for use in the manufacture of the illegal drug methamphetamine or ice.

One person has been arrested with the possibility of more people arrested as police investigation continues.

Police have thanked the public for supporting their work in trying to keep Samoa safe and free of illicit drugs.
