The programme is supported by the UK and United Nations Development Programme.

UNDP said funding for the eight-week programme was officially approved by the UK High Commissioner to Samoa, David Ward and the Resident Representative of the UNDP in Samoa, Jorn Sorensen.

The buyers are part of Pacific Trade Invest Australia’s business mission delegation and will be in Samoa from Tuesday 9 – Friday 12 October.

Mona Mato, Export Services Manager, PTI Australia said the delegates were excited to connect with businesses in Samoa and understand where and how the products are sourced and made.

Facebook introduced two new features aimed at local business advertisers: an easier way to automatically add information via the Locations tool, and local insights.

The Locations update is available globally through Facebook’s ads application-programming interface, with Power Editor coming on board shortly, and local insights are rolling out to pages in the U.S. “starting today and over the coming weeks.”
